Robbery Suspects Drive Back to Scene and Get Arrested

Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif. -- Two robbery suspects were arrested in Salinas after police identified their vehicle returning to the scene.

Agustine Bravo, 20, and Pedro Hernandez, 20, were identified by police after witnesses and the victim gave them descriptions. The two suspects drove by the scene a short time after the robbery took place.

It happened Wednesday around 12:15 p.m. in the area of Garner Avenue and Sunrise Street. Police say the victim was collecting recyclables when two men came up to him and demanded valuable items the victim was holding.

One of the suspects was armed with a tire iron. After they robbed the man they ran to their car parked nearby and drove off.

When police got to the scene they were able to get a good description of the suspects and the car from the victim and witnesses. While police were still at the scene they saw the suspect car drive by, a black '94 Nissan Pathfinder.

Both Bravo and Hernandez were booked in jail on charges of robbery and conspiracy.
