Man Shot At Marina Health Clinic Later Gunned Down in Seaside - Central Coast News KION/KCBA

SEASIDE, Calif. - Seaside Police just confirmed a known gang member who was shot several times at the Monterey County Health Clinic in Marina two months ago, was killed last evening Friday in Seaside.

20-year-old Jorge Diaz of Seaside was found dead just before midnight Friday on the 1600 block of San Lucas Street.  Police say the shooting is gang related, they are still investigating the homicide.

Jorge Diaz was the victim in a shooting that happened August 23rd at the Monterey County Health Clinic. He was shot 4-5 times in the stomach while exiting the clinic with his pregnant girlfriend.

Also Friday evening, Seaside police say a few hours before Diaz was killed, another drive-by shooting happened at the 5100 block of Coe Avenue. Several shots were fired at a home just before 10:00 p.m. A group of people were standing outside, but no one was hit. Police say the getaway car was described as a dark colored vehicle.    

Police are still investigating both shootings that happened on Friday. Police don't know if the drive-by and homicide shooting are related.
