SALINAS, Calif. - A man walked into the Valero Gas Station on North Main and Laurel in Salinas, grabbed a Monster energy drink, then pointed a flare gun at the clerk, demanding cigarettes - and ordered the clerk to activate a gas pump.

Clerks say the man then filled his champagne-colored SUV with about $15 in gas and drove off.

As of Tuesday night, police were still searching for that man.
