GREENFIELD, Calif. -- Greenfield police detained two women who were possibly involved in the Greenfield homicide incident on October 16th. One woman has already been released, but police are holding 42 year old Christine Hendrickson on a parole hold.
Police also towed a car they believe was the vehicle associated with the shooting. They say that car may have been seen fleeing the scene after the gunshots were fired.
Investigators say they are holding Hendrickson for lack of cooperation. They still do not know if she was involved in the Greenfield homicide. Right now Hendrickson is considered a person of interest.
So far no arrests have been made in the case.
Police are still investigating the shooting that left one person dead and four other injured. It happened Tuesday evening on the 400 block of Clifton Court. Police say one person was found dead on the driveway and four others shot.
As officers tried to secure the crime scene and help the injured victims, about 50 people began to form and block the officers and paramedics. At one point, threats were made towards police which led them to call in additional security.
29 additional units from across the Central Coast were called out to help and secure the scene.
Once officers were able to get to the injured, they found one of the victims, 26 year old Cesar Pantoja, dead at the scene.
Victim #2, a 19 year old man, was taken to a hospital by friends where he immediately underwent surgery. Victim #3, an 18 year old man, was flown to a Bay Area trauma center with three gunshot wounds. Victim #4, a 19 year old man, was transported to a local hospital via ambulance. Victim #5, a 14 year old boy, was also taken to a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
While police are still investigating, they believe the five victims were standing in the driveway of Pantoja's home when the shooting occurred. Witnesses say they saw at least one suspect approach the victims on foot and begin shooting. The suspect then jumped into a light colored sedan and drove away.
Officers say they spotted a possible suspect vehicle on the 100 block of Oak Avenue. They detained two people who are now being questioned by the Greenfield Police Department.
