There's a new tech-savvy way to get information about the November election. It's a new and improved "Voter Guide" app for iPhone, iPad, and Android users that gives voters information about the Presidential Election.
The app can be downloaded from the iTunes store or on the Android Market. If you live in Santa Cruz you would search "Santa Cruz Voter Guide" to get the information specific to the area where you would cast your vote! It's a free application that can be downloaded to your phone in minutes.
By putting in your zip code and street address, you can view all of the contests on the ballot. You can see different candidate statements or qualifications, and even read over ballot measures and arguments for and against them. Creators of the app say its a quick and easy way for people to get quick information on the candidates.
Voters may select a candidate and view the candidate's statement of qualifications or select a measure and view a summary of the measure along with arguments for and against.
Dr. Elizabeth Bergman, a professor of political science at Cal State East Bay created the application. The app was originally introduced back in the June 2012 election.
