Giant Eyeball Mystery May be Solved - Central Coast News KION/KCBA

Miami, FL, (CBS),  The mystery behind the giant blue eyeball found on the beach, may finally be solved.   According to researchers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the eyeball is believed to belong to a swordfish.

The huge eyeball washed up on the shore of Pompano Beach, Florida.  It was found Wednesday, by a man walking the beach.

State wildlife officials have been trying to determine the source of the softball-sized orb.

Speculation was that it probably came from a marine animal since it was discovered on the beach.. such as a giant squid, whale or some other kind of large fish.
