Salinas, Calif- A 61-year-old man is injured after police say that a man walked up to his car and robbed him.
The victim was in the area of Gin's Market on 900 block of Sanborn Road Monday morning. The suspect walked up to his car and tried to open the door, which was locked. Police say the suspect then fired two rounds into the driver's side window shattering it.
The victim was not hit by a bullet but he did get minor cuts from the glass, and was treated at the scene.
The suspect then got into the car on the passenger side and drove away. The car is described as a gray compact car.
