Seaside Drive-by Shooting Leaves One Dead

SEASIDE, Calif. - Late Friday night, just before 10:00 PM, Seaside Police officers responded to shots fired in the 5100 block of Coe Avenue. 

Several men were standing outside a residence when a dark colored vehicle drove by, shooting at the group. No one was injured, but stray bullets did hit the residence. 

Then, just before midnight, Seaside Police received multiple reports of shots fired in the area of San Lucas Street and Olympia Avenue. When Seaside Police and Monterey County Sheriff's deputies responded, they found one male victim in the 1600 block of San Lucas Street. The victim was pronounded dead at the scene. 

The victim was a 20 year old Hispanic male, and a known gang member. His identity has not been released.
