HOLLISTER, Calif. -- A 21-year old man was stabbed in the arm during a large gang fight Thursday night, and now police are on the hunt for the suspect.

It happened at a home on the 1400 block of King Circle. Police say when they arrived on scene, they observed about 30 people who appeared to be gang members, fighting with other young adults in the street.

According to police, the victim came out of one of the homes with a stab wound to his arm. After further investigation, the victim and another witness revealed the gang members walked into the home uninvited while a party was going on. The gang members were asked to leave, and once outside the home, a fight started between the gang and party attendees.

Police say, the stabbing victim rushed out to help a friend who was being beaten and that's when one of the gang members allegedly stabbed him once in the arm.

The stabbing suspect is described as an Hispanic male, about 20 years old. Witnesses describe him as having a red and black tattoo, possibly a Cincinnati Reds "C" logo or red lips, on the right side of his neck, about the size of a small fist.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, but they have not received any further cooperation from those involved in the party. They are now urging anyone with information on the fight of the stabbing to call Hollister Police.
