LONDON, England - What happened to Britain's economy after the 2012 Summer Olympics? As it turns out, not so much.
Only three million people visited Britain in August. That's down five percent from the year before.
On a positive note, those who did come spent 9 percent more this year versus August 2011, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Businesses are blaming the crowding of the Olympics for deterring visitors.
