Seaside Police Investigate Shooting

SEASIDE, Calif. - Seaside police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night on the 1700 block of Soto Street.

Police say when they arrived on scene around 8:30 pm, they could not find any evidence of a shooting. Around an hour later, police learned a man was being treated for a gunshot wound at a nearby hospital.

Police believe the man was hit by the gunfire around the same time officers responded to the gunshots call.

The investigation is ongoing. It is unknown at this time if this shooting is gang related.
