Inmate Death Spurs Homicide Investigation

SOLEDAD, Calif. - An inmate's death at the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad sparked a homicide investigation.

52-year-old inmate Rick Stockton was pronounced dead Sunday after being found unresponsive in a bathroom.

He was serving a 25-to-life sentence for vehicle theft, possession of a deadly weapon, grand theft, robbery and forgery.

The Monterey County District Attorney's office and the Correctional Training Facility are investigating.
