Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif- The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties. That warning is set to expire at 5pm.

The National Weather Service said that this storm is capable of producing quarter size hail and winds in excess of 60 mph.

As of 4 pm the storm was located near Morgan Hill and is moving Northwest at 20 mph, reported the National Weather Service.

Several residents in Gilroy have already reported hail. Reports of lightening have also been reported from Aptos and Laguna Seca near Salinas.
