Why Wine Goes Well With Meat

Scientists believe they've figured out why a glass of Cabernet or Merlot goes so well with your steak. 

Researchers say basically the sharp taste of the wine balances out the fatty flavor of the meat. The findings help explain why people like to pair sour or bitter items with fatty choices.

Study authors say the way foods make our mouths feel has a lot to do with the foods we choose to eat. 

Findings appear in the current issue of "Current Biology."
