Former President Bill Clinton Attends Rally at UC Davis

DAVIS--Former President Bill Clinton attended a political rally at UC Davis Tuesday.

Mr. Clinton was there endorsing four northern California Congressional candidates: John Garamendi, Jerry McNerney, Ami Bera and Jose Hernandez.

The function, hosted by the Davis College Democrats, drew a crowd estimated at between eight and twelve thousand people.

The former President spoke for about thirty minutes. He received several loud ovations from the crowd, which included thousands of college students and local residents.

Mr. Clinton touched on a range of issues, including the budget, medicare and college aid. He also spent considerable time praising President Obama and denouncing Republicans.
