GREENFIELD, Calif.- Cal Fire Crews assisted Monterey County Regional Fire units with fighting a vegetation fire burning near a Greenfield home Tuesday.
The small, suspicious vegetation fire broke out on the 1200 block of Oak Avenue around 2 p.m.
Greenfield Fire Cpt. Jason Perez said kids were spotted playing in the area when the fire began. The fire was put out in about ten minutes.
The fire burned close to a structure, but it did not spread.
No word on the cause.
