SEASIDE, Calif.- Voters in Seaside put mayoral and city council candidates in the hot seat on Saturday, by asking some tough questions at a voter forum. Current mayor Felix Bachofner and his opponent former Seaside mayor Ralph Rubio tackled questions from a group of about 50 people at the Oldemeyer Center. Audience members said the forum got an interesting dialogue going about the cost of water on the peninsula.
"The water is really, seems like from listening to them, it's the most important thing because it could triple or quadruple, they're saying in the near future," said voter Suzanne Walton.
They also discussed property taxes, the re-use plan for the former Fort Ord, and who they are as candidates.
