SALINAS, Calif.- Drivers are being warned about upcoming closures on Highway 101 later this month as the massive Prunedale Improvement Project rolls into its next phase of construction.
Crews will temporarily close off access from Hwy 101 to Crazy Horse Canyon Rd. the night of Wednesday, October 17. Access to Crazy Horse Canyon Road from Hwy 101 will close at 9 p.m. on Oct. 17. It will reopen at 6 a.m. on October 18.
Emergency responders will be able to get through. All other traffic will access Crazy Horse Canyon Rd. via the following detour:
- Exit Hwy 101 at Boronda Rd.
- Head east on Boronda Rd. to San Juan Grade Road.
- Turn left on San Juan Grade Road and follow it to Crazy Horse Canyon Road.
- Turn left on Crazy Horse Canyon Road.
Crews will be erecting falsework over the Crazy Horse Canyon Road detour.
