12,000 Pound Tater Traveling to Salinas, Next Week

SALINAS, Calif- Keep your eyes peeled for an unpeeled, 12,000 pound potato heading to Salinas, next week.

The Great Big Idaho Potato Truck is on a seven-month cross-country journey to celebrate the Idaho Potato Commission's 75th Anniversary.

The purpose of the Great Big Idaho Potato tour is to raise funds and awareness for Meals on Wheels.

The big spud is expected to stop at the Walmart located at 1375 North Davis Road in Salinas on Wednesday,  October 10th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
