Fifty years ago today, James Bond hit the silver screen, in "Dr. No." It's one of the longest running series in movie history, with the 23rd installment set to premiere on November 9, 2012.
The anniversary is being celebrated several ways, with a charity auction, a new documentary, an anniversary box set of DVD's, and the Museum of Modern Art will be showing all the films through the month of October.
