The general election is November 6th but you don't have to wait to cast your ballot ahead of time.
Californians are able to join voters in a dozen other state who are allowed for vote early.
That voting starts on Monday.
Shannon Velaya, Spokesperson for California Secretary of State's Office said "...Monday marks the twenty-ninth day before election day which means county elections officials can send out ballots to vote-by-mail voters. And voters who want to vote in person can head down to their county elections office and vote in person there."
Be aware, though, some county elections offices will be closed monday for the columbus day holiday. If you haven't yet registered to vote, the deadline is October 22nd. If you have registered and want to apply to vote by mail, the deadline for that is October 13th. To apply, you can go to the secretary of state's website
