Deputies: Someone Fired Shots at a Pajaro Valley School Bus

WATSONVILLE, Calif- Someone fired at least two .22 caliber rounds at a school bus Thursday night. Deputies said that there were no kids on the bus at the time of the shooting and no evidence that the driver was a target.

Santa Cruz Deputies said the bus was probably shot at when it was going past the Towers Apartments Thursday night around 7 pm. The driver heard the shots, but thought that it was nearby construction, said deputies.

When the driver got back to the bus yard he noticed that two bus windows were shattered.  When deputies arrived they found the two bullets that broke the windows.

Deputies said that school resource officers have been made aware of the incident to ensure student safety at local schools.
