New Chancellor Selected to Run the CSU System

A new chancellor has been named for the CSU system.

Timothy P. White has been selected chancellor.  White has chancellor of U-C Riverside since 2008.  During his tenure the campus has grown to almost 21,000 students.

White will move into his new role at the end of December.

Backstory on Timothy White:
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he immigrated to Northern California with his family, and was a first generation college student. Tim attended all three segments of California's higher education system. Beginning at Diablo Valley Community College, he earned a bachelor's degree from Fresno State, a master's degree from Cal State Hayward (East Bay), and a Ph.D. at UC Berkeley. He and his wife Karen, who is an assistant clinical professor for the UC Riverside Biomedical Sciences program, have four sons.
