Police Investigating Fire at Santa Cruz Elementary School

SANTA CRUZ, Calif- Santa Cruz Police are now investigating a possible case of arson at an elementary school.

Police say the fire happened at Bayview Elementary School on Tuesday, just before 7 p.m.

When Santa Cruz Fire Investigators were called out to the school to investigate a small fire that at first was thought to be electrical, authorities found abnormalities.

Just as a precaution, the Santa Cruz Police Department was called in and interviews are being conducted regarding the case.

Police say it can very well turn out to be just an electrical fire but Santa Cruz authorities are just taking precautionary measures.

No one was hurt in the blaze.
