SANTA
CRUZ, Calif. – The Santa Cruz Warriors announced Wednesday that the team's director
of basketball operations, Andrew Loomis, has been promoted to assistant general
manager. Loomis has been with the team for a year and a half, working closely as
an intermediary between the Santa Cruz Warriors and its NBA parent team, the
Golden State Warriors.
"Andrew
is an outstanding worker who has been instrumental in moving the Warriors nearly
2,000 miles from North Dakota to Santa Cruz," said Santa Cruz Warriors General
Manager Kirk Lacob.
Prior to
his time with the Warriors, Loomis spent eight seasons as the director of
basketball administration with the New Orleans Hornets. He is a graduate of
Tulane University.
