SACRAMENTO, Calif.- A warning from Cal Fire this week about the unusually high threat of wildfires still in the state.
Many places on the Central Coast reached into the triple digits Monday and Tuesday, but even with a cool down in temperatures Wednesday, Cal Fire says the later fall months are when the largest and most damaging wildfires often happen.
Already this year there have been 20-percent more fires than average. According to Cal Fire, they are concerned with the lack of rain and dry brush.
