Woman Found Guilty on 13 Felony Counts for Foreclosure Scam

MONTEREY CO., Calif. - A Monterey County jury found a woman guilty of swindling hundreds of people into her "foreclosure rescue" scam.

Her name is Blanca Sanchez, also known as Blanca Maciel, and she's now been found guilty of 13 felonies.

Police say, from 2008 until 2010, Sanchez posed as a real estate agent and stole thousands of dollars from struggling hispanic homeowners over that two-year span.

She'll be sentenced October thirtieth.
