SALINAS, Calif. -- The Monterey County Board of Supervisors will consider an ordinance Tuesday reducing the speed limit on Reservation Road near the new East Garrison Subdivision.
This comes in anticipation of increased traffic and with a new signalized intersection in the area.
The ordinance would drop the limit from 55 to 50 miles-per-hour for about 700 feet at Reservation and East Garrison Roads. The reason for the speed limit change is for safety because of future increasing traffic, the ordinance states.
