MONTEREY, Calif. - "My actions that I did at the time were wrong, because I didn't do the same thing I want other people to do," said Raynald Adams.
Adams is talking about an incident that happened last year. During school hours Adams came onto Monterey High School grounds and beat a coach with an axe handle. Adams was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
A year later Adams says he's sorry for his actions but he says the problem that pushed him over the edge last year has still not been resolved.
"It's a pattern of behavior that should be addressed," said Adams.
According to Adams this pattern of behavior is coming from Coach James Hill. Adams says two weeks ago, Hill allegedly got into a fight with a football player during practice. The school would not comment about the incident but said the matter was investigated.
Monterey High Head Football Coach Tom Newton said after the investigation the district has certified Hill and allowed him to continue to coach. He added Hill loves football and loves working with the players. Newton says he has no problem with the way Hill coaches.
But Adams says he is not the only parent concerned. Adams says other parents have filed complaints with the school.
"I think the way he decides to train and teach these boys is not going with the academic standards that goes with the school," said Adams.
