GILROY - A double loss for one central coast football team. First out on the field, but then things took a more personal turn.
iPhones, iPads and wallets were stolen while the players from Christopher High School in Gilroy were in the game.
"This is very sad and unfortunate that this occurred," said Marco Sanchez, principal of Gilroy High School.
The team was playing Live Oak on Sept. 7 at Gilroy High School when someone stole the belongings, Sanchez said.
"Unfortunately, the portable that Christopher High uses to store their items during the game they must've left either the door or windows unlocked, because there's no sign of break in," Sanchez said.
The school had surveillance cameras, but the video was too dark to make anyone out.
Both schools and Gilroy Police are looking out for the crooks and hope others can also be on the lookout.
"We have our eyes and ears open and ready to cooperate and assist if we get any new information in the next few days," Sanchez said.
Police said so far they don't have any leads.
