SALINAS, Calif. - Someone in Salinas claims to have found their stolen scooter on Craigslist.

The Monterey County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating screenshots of the craigslist ad.

Police told us earlier in the week that bike theft is on the rise across the country.

They believe thieves steal the bikes, then sell them, or their parts, online.
