SALINAS, Calif. -- Salinas Police are on the lookout for a man that tried to lure a young girl into his car, while walking to school Thursday morning.
Officers say the girl was walking around the intersection of Towt and Laurel Streets when the man pulled up to the girl in his car and asked her to get in.
The girl said no but the man kept asking and following her.
Eventually, the terrified girl ran away and used a phone to call and tell her mother what happened.
Salinas Police say at this time there is very little descriptive details for the suspect but they are still patrolling the area, looking for any suspicious characters.
