Santa Cruz County Fair Kicks Off

Santa Cruz, Calif. -- The Santa Cruz Fair kicks off Tuesday at noon and will run through Sunday with dozens of workshops, entertainment, food and contests.

The fair will begin with an opening ceremony at Rogers House, followed by a Farm Bureau barbecue until 3pm Tuesday.

Exhibit demonstrations will continuously held throughout the week, including workshops on woodcarving, antique cars and wine tasting. And as for entertainment, fair-goers can head over to one of the many live shows or concerts during the week.

The fair will wrap up Sunday, September 16th at 10pm.

    SALINAS, Calif- Police are responding to a report of a stabbing that happened on East Alisal Friday afternoon. At this time police have E. Bernal at North Main closed off looking for a possible suspect.
    Police responded to a report of a stabbing that happened on East Alisal Friday afternoon. A witness who saw the stabbing tried to help the victim get to the hospital. He carried the suspect to the car and sped towards the hospital, said police.
