SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Have you ever been wandering through a store and saw an article of clothing you just had to have?
One man in Santa Cruz was in that exact same predicament when he decided to break the law.
Santa Cruz Police say a man entered the Ports of Call store on the Wharf in Santa Cruz, this week, and used a pair of wire cutters to remove a theft deterrent device on a jacket.
The black windbreaker jacket had a Santa Cruz logo on it and was valued at $60.00.
After cutting the security tag off the windbreaker, the man left the store with the item of clothing.
Santa Cruz Police are asking anyone who can identify this crook to contact the Santa Cruz Police Department Investigations at (831) 420-5820.
