The "California Comeback," Or Come Back Later

The US Chamber of Commerce is making a plea to the hundreds of business who have left California for greener pastures.

But they'll have to stand in line. The World Wide Web now features two web sites with the same goal: get companies to come back to California.

The sites even share similar names. But one site may have better luck getting jobs back than the other.

The US Chamber of Commerce's newly launched site is www.thecaliforniacomeback.com. It lists hundreds of companies that have left California because of strict regulations or high taxes.

The site www.comebackcalifornia.com has the same idea. The only problem is, when Central Coast News went to naivete the site, a page popped up that said "In Progress-Check Back Later."

Central Coast News is looking into whether or not this a copy cat site of the US Chamber of Commerce's site.

Both sites may have to contend with the YouTube video by Irvine-based consultant Joe Vranich.

Vranich gives his top 10 reasons, David Letterman style, why California companies are calling it quits. You can find that video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6_UACmw3Yw
