Several Small Brush Fires Contained off Highway 101

SALINAS, Calif. - Several small brush fires are contained off Highway 101 near Gould Road, just south of Salinas.

The fires were first reported to California Highway Patrol at 7:19 Monday evening.

Our Central Coast News crew on scene confirmed there were several small fires burning on the west side of the highway. No structures were damaged.

No word on what caused the fires. Crews had the flames out in about 20 minutes.

Traffic was not affected during the brush fires.
