SALINAS, Calif- Police say that 16-year-old Robert Campos escaped from the Monterey County Youth Detention Center Sunday evening.
Police believe that an accomplice cut a hole in the fence surrounding the yard so that Campos could escape. Campos was last seen running towards Cesar Chavez Park into the surrounding neighborhoods.
He is described as a Hispanic male juvenile, 16 years old, 5'6", 135 lbs, wearing a purple shirt, black sweatpants, and socks with no shoes.
Anyone with information on the juveniles' whereabouts in asked to contact the Salinas Police Department.
