Local Gas Prices Tick Up 40 Cents in One Month

Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif. - Prices at the pump are shooting back up again.

According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of gas is $3.69. That's up thirty cents from a month ago.

In Salinas, prices went up 11 cents this week. The average on Saturday was $4.11. That's 40 cents more than last month.

Analysts say prices should keep going up at least through labor day, but they won't get as high as they did in April.
