PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. -- The Costs of Putting Together a Classic Car. If you haven't noticed it already, hundreds of classic cars are revving through the central coast! We got a chance to see what it takes to bring these cars to their custom state.
We learned what it takes to turn a bunch of scraps into something called luxury. There's a lot that goes into getting these cars ready for shows and for sale. Just ask Boulevard Motorcar Company Owner Charles Bronson, no relation to the actor.
He gave us the back story on what he does. "My father was one of the first people into the hobby and I never grew up I just decided this would be my avocation," said Bronson.
That even means going to all ends of the earth to get special lead paint or small bolts that were used on the original vehicle. Charles calls it a scavenger hunt! Among his car lineup, the price tags range from $800,000 up to $10 million --- yes, $10 million.
For Charles it's a profession that's truly a passion. "I spent a lot of research getting the paperwork right and figuring out who the first owners were," said Bronson.
The uniqueness is what makes what Charles does, so in demand. "That's what's important. If somebody looks at one of my cars built in 1935, I want that car to take them back to 1935," said Bronson.
