Woman Injured in "Unprovoked Attack" on UC Santa Cruz Campus

SANTA CRUZ, Calif- A woman who was working on the campus of UC Santa Cruz was attacked Friday afternoon.

According to UCSC Spokesperson Guy Lasnier, the woman was hit on the head with a 16-inch metal pipe.

The suspect is described as being 30 to 35 years-old, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with braided hair. Lasnier also said the suspect was wearing all black and ran away from the scene after he hit the woman.

The victim was taken to the hospital, her condition is unknown.
