MONTEREY, Calif.- Central Coast News was on scene with Monterey Police and the bomb squad at Estrella Avenue, after reports of a pipe bomb being found.

According to witnesses, someone found a pipe bomb inside a back rental unit, behind a house. The tenant had recently been evicted, according to witnesses on scene.

The bomb squad was called out the scene and they were able to determine that is was just a pipe.
