New Sea Dragons at Monterey Bay Aquarium

Posted: Updated:

Monterey, Calif. -- Monterey Bay Aquarium has announced the hatching of a rare group of weedy Sea Dragon Babies.

This is a type of fish, closely related to sea-horses, pipefish and leafy sea-dragons.

The hatchlings are only about one-inch long, but can grow to be about 18-inches long. Sea dragons are usually found off the eastern coasts of Australia.

And you can catch staff from the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Central Coast News on Wednesday at 5 and. 6pm. They'll be holding a question center on how you can become a volunteer guide.
