Fire Crews Contain 63 Acre Fire on Gonzales

GONZALES, Calif- Several fire crews responded to a vegetation fire that was burning at Johnson Canyon Road and Iverson Road near the landfill.

CalFire Spokesperson Jonathon Pangburn says that the fire is now contained and it burned about 63 acres of vegetation. The fire was reported just after 2:40 p.m. and was contained in about 2 hours.

At this time the cause of the fire has not been released.
