Watsonville, Calif. - Two men are on the run after robbing in a bakery in Watsonville at gunpoint Wednesday night.

It happened at the La Santa Cruz Bakery on 716 East Lake Avenue, just past 8:30pm.

Watsonville Police say two men with ski masks over their faces approached a female cashier and a male customer inside the bakery. That's when, police say, one suspect demanded cash in Spanish from the cashier.

Investigators say the second suspect pointed a pistol at the customer.

The suspects got away with an undetermined amount of cash, and police say, they both fled the scene on foot east toward Tuttle Avenue.

Watsonville Police say they searched the area extensively, but the suspects weren't located. If you know anything about the armed robbery, you're urged to call Watsonville Police Investigations Bureau at 831-768-3350 or the anonymous crime tip line at 831-728-3544.
