9-Year-Old Bicyclist Injured Crossing the Street - Central Coast News KION/KCBA

SALINAS, Calif- Tuesday afternoon a 9-year-old boy was flown to the hospital after he was hit by a car.

Police say the boy was ridding his bike in the area of Fitzgerald St. near Bradbury St. when he was hit by a car. Police say that the boy was not wearing a helmet and he did not yield to traffic in the intersection.

The boy is still in the hospital and has a head injury, a fracture of his upper arm and a possible concussion, said police.
