WATSONVILLE, Calif- After receiving several tips from the community, police  have arrested a suspect in the homicide that happened on Prospect Avenue.

The tips led police to Michael Miller. Working closely with the Santa Cruz County Gang Task Force and the District Attorney's office, detectives were able to gather enough information against Miller to arrest him for murder.

Miller was arrested Thursday night at a house on the 500 block of Argos Circle. Police recovered what they believe is the murder weapon and three cars from the house.

Miller was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on murder, attempt murder, and gun enhancements. Miller has no bail and is expected in court as early as Tuesday morning.

Though police still do not have a motive, they say that the crime is definitely not gang related and that the victim was targeted. Anyone with further information regarding this case is encouraged to contact the WPD Investigation Division at (831) 768-3350 or the Crime Tip Line at (831) 768-3544.
