SAN ARDO, Calif - The Monterey County Sheriff's Department is searching for a suspect shot a man in the chest during a robbery near San Ardo School Tuesday night.
According to deputies, the 30-year-old victim was shot around 7:45 p.m. near Jolon Road and Center Street. He was transported to Mee memorial in King City, and then air lifted to a Bay Area hospital.
Deputies have identified 45-year-old Alfonso Salazar as the suspect in this case. He is considered armed and dangerous.
