Theatres Still Packed to See Batman Movie

Posted: Updated:

MONTEREY, Calif. - A packed scene at the new IMAX theatre in Monterey Friday night. The prime time showing of Dark Knight sold out early nd people began lining up at 5:00 p.m.

People bought tickets in advance, online and on their smart phones to catch the show, forcing some to wait for the late night showing.

Newlyweds Sherrele and her husband chose that route and said they are going to the movie but Colorado was on their mind.

"It definitely is a concern cause me and my husband go out to public events and safety is always our number one concern," said Williams.

Sherrele and her husband plan to see the Dark Knight and since its full of action, Williams does not know what to expect.

"Especially seeing like an action packed movie. I heard someone say they thought it was part of the act. I probably would have thought so too," Williams told me.

Other theatres in the area were sold out as well and with the big crowds, security will be a top priority for management.
