SALINAS, Calif. -- Salinas Police and Fire Department officials tell Central Coast News that two children have been hit by a car in Salinas. At least one of them was flown to the hospital, as of now their condition is unknown.
The accident happened on North Main Street and Alvin. Officers are closing southbound traffic on North Main Street as they investigate.
Witnesses told Central Coast News that a girl and a boy were with their dad riding bicycles when they were hit by the car. The kids were pinned underneath the car and residents in the area helped to rescue them.
Police are still investigating this accident.
