Taylor Farm Unveils Project Sketches

Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif. - The new building is going to be 5 stories tall and 97,000 square feet. The first floor will be retail spaces. The second floor executive offices for local businesses to rent. And the third, fourth and fifth will be dedicated to Taylor Farms. Just outside the building facing the Steinbeck Center, developers plan to build a new public plaza. As far as parking, Taylor Farms said they plan on opening an employee lot.

"The underground parking will be for employee parking, and it will be a great spot to maximize the land use by building this underground parking. To minimize any impact it might have on local parking," said Nicholas DeCosta, Chief Officer of Taylor Farms.

Taylor Farms is still discussing whether they will open up the employee lot to the public after office hours. It is still unknown whether any of the retail stores have been sold or any office spaces are rented yet.

Construction is planned to begin in September and will take one year. The parking lot across from the Steinbeck Center will be closed July 28th.
